Went to the Woodworking Show 10/29/05

It's been a busy weekend. Went to a retirment for one of our guys last night in Pleasant Hill. It was really nice. For once, I wasn't organizing it. I just got to sit there and enjoy the evening other than helping with one presentation. Saw some people I haven't seen in years.

Went to the Woodworking Show today in San Mateo with my Dad and a friend. Saw all the cool tools and techniques. Could have spent more, but bought a few things I'm sure I'll use including the vaunted "Woodworker II" table saw blade. I'll install it later and check it out.

Here we go

My wife, the computer guru in our house, was insistent I start up this blog. She has had so much fun with hers and basically has been working on hers all this evening. We have created it and now I must decide how much of myself I share with any one who may stumble across it.

Here I am 2 summers ago building the bay window on to our house. I was able to do almost everything myself except for the last coating of stucco. I could tell I didn't know what I was doing and had hired some great guys to finish.

Now I'm building the bay window seat. The prototype came out great. I felt like "Norm." I'm making the expensive saw dust now. I'm just real slow. Buying lots of nice tools and stuff, though.
